Sale of War Bonds

 

BOND BOOTH BUSINESS -- L.M. Gildea, superintendent for the International Harvester Co at the Quad Cities Tank arsenal, is picture buying a $500 war bond from Mrs. Leona Bowman, 322 1/2 West Twelfth street, Davenport and Miss Betty Lou Bankson, 117 East Eleventh street at the new sales booth in the Bettendorf plant. In the cash sale of $9,000 worth of bonds Monday and Tuesday, there were several buyers of $1,000 each, and a number who invested $500. A large bell, which can be heard all over the plant, rings whenever a bond is purchased.
