Bertha Dimmitt to Be Hostess at McCook Air Base

Resigns as Farm Bureau's Home Economist

Miss Bertha Mae Dimmitt, Black Hawk County extension home economist for the past three and one-half years, has resigned to accept a position with the war department as principal hostess at the army air base, McCook, Neb.

Her resignation is effective July 30 but she plans to leave for a vacation July 17 and report for training July 26 at Fort Francis E. Warren, Cheyenne, Wyo.

Her successor has not been selected.

Miss Dimmitt has been in charge of 4-H girls' club work and Black Hawk county farm Bureau women's home project activities.

Before coming here Miss Dimmitt was employed as home demonstration agent in Clarke and Decatur counties, with offices in Osceola and Leon.

Prior to that she was engaged in farm security administration work in Ringghold and Union counties and served as case worker with the relief administration in Hardin county.

She is a graduate of Iowa States college, Ames.
