Report Plummer Nazi Prisoner

Sergt. Lane B. Plummer, 20, previously reported missing Oct. 16 over Austria, is a prisoner of the Germans, the war department has notified his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ben Plummer, 38935 E. Thirty second st. Sergeant Plummer was engineer-gunner on a Liberator in Italy.

He had been overseas since Sept. 1. Sergeant Plummer attended East high school and was a trucker before entering the service. He has three sisters and four brothers at home.

Lane B. Plummer Freed in Germany

Sgt. Lane B. Plummer, 20, captured by the Germans Oct. 16, 1944, has been freed by the Allied forces, according to word received by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.B. Plummer, 3935 E. Thirty-second, st.

Sergeant Plummer, engineer-gunner on a Liberator in Italy, first was reported missing in action over Austria. He attended East High school and was a trucker before entering the army air forces in December 1943. He was sent overseas September 1944.

Sergeant Plummer holds the Air Medal, the distinguished unit badge, and two presidential unit citations.
