Flier Here Is Nazi Prisoner
Lieut. Rodney W. House Downed on Raid to Hamburg

It has officially been reported that Second Lieut. Rodney W. House, a Sioux City Army flier, is a prisoner in Germany. Information previously had been received by his mother, Mrs. Edna House, 414 11th Street. Lieut. House member of a flying fortress crew was captured July 25. His plane was one of a group that raided Hamburg, Germany.

About one month after his capture, he broadcast from the prison camp, and his message was picked up by a number of persons who reported to Mrs. House. Few details were divulged. Mrs. House never has heard directly from her son.

Lieut. House, 23, has been in the army over three years. His wife and baby left Sioux City Friday for Pasadena, her former home, to join her parents.
