Sgt. Melvin B. Holden

 

 

Melvin B. Holden was born Mar. 3, 1922 to Albert Bennie and Mina Dorothy Adams Holden. He died Feb. 9, 1945 and is buried in Elkader Cemetery, Elkader, IA. He was initially buried in the Oshu Schofield Barracks temporary military cemetery in Hawaii.

Sgt. Holden served in World War II with the U.S. Army as a mess sergeant in an amphibious training center and died in the Hawaiian Islands while serving his country.
