Arthur William Ennema
Arthur William Brenneman was born on May 20, 1924 to Herman and Grace (Schuiteman) Ennema in Sioux Center, IA. (Source: Arthur's Memorial Funeral Home obituary of March, 2008).  Arthur changed his last name some time after his military service. During his military service he was Arthur W. Ennema.

PVT. ARTHUR W. ENNEMA

Pvt. Arthur W. Ennema, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ennema left for the service Oct. 22, 1944.  He received his basic training at Camp Wolters, Texas, where he is a member of the Infantry.  He has had two furloughs, one in December which was an emergency furlough and one in March shortly before he left for overseas.  His address is: Pvt. Pfc. Art Ennema and Pvt. Nick Draayer

Pfc. Arthur Ennema and Pvt. Nick Draayer had a reunion in Mindanao a few weeks ago when the above picture was taken.  Arthur is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ennema and Nick a son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Draayer.  Nick is with the Heavy Weapons Company of the 3rd Battalion in the 41st Division and Art is in the 1st Battalion of the Medical Corps.

Arthur Ennema called home from San Francisco, Calif. on Saturday evening, telling his family that he had arrived home from Japan.  He is expected to arrive here the latter part of this week.

ARTHUR ENNEMA
Arthur Ennema arrived at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Ennema on Tuesday with his discharge from the army.  He was in the army for about two years and spent one year in Japan.  While in Japan he met a number of local boys, including John, son of Peter De Vries, and Nicholas, son of Henry Draayer.
