Leo Henry Ahern was born Oct. 12, 1922 to Ralph and Maria Shaw Ahern. He died July 30, 1945 and is buried in Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL.
Ens. Ahern served with the U.S. Navy in World War II and was initially listed as MIA. His remains were returned to the U.S. in 1949.
