Cpl. Lavern R. Walsh

 

 

Pvt. Lavern R. Walsh, a link trainer at the U.S. Army air base at Muroe, Calif., just spent a ten-day furlough at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Walsh. He returned to his base Saturday morning.

SOLDIER NEWS.

Muroc, Calif.—Cpl. Lavern R. Walsh, stationed at Muroe army air field, recently completed the qualification course with the .30 caliber rifle in which he achieved the rating of expert. Cpl. Walsh is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond J. Walsh of LeMars.

Lavern R. “Bud” Walsh was born Aug. 24, 1920 to Raymond J. and Margaret E. Meiners Walsh. He died May 31, 2001 and is buried in Calvary Cemetery, LeMars, IA.
