NEWS OF OUR MEN and WOMEN IN UNIFORM

Abe & Ben Schiebout.
Abe Schiebout arrived home last Friday after four years and six months in the Combat Medics of the U.S. Army. About fifteen minutes after he arrived, his brother, Ben arrived also, having been discharged from the Navy after serving two and half years in the South Pacific.

Abe served twenty eight months overseas in Hawaii, New Guinea, and Luzon respectively. He never contracted any tropical diseasees and considers himself very fortunate. He saw Gt. Visser of Maurice and a few Orange City boys while overseas but none from the immediate Sioux Center vicinity.

Both the boys wish to express their thanks to various organizations here and to individuals as well for their many letters and remembrances while there were in the service. Neither of the boys has decided on their future course as yet.
