Pfc. Elmer Ludwigs

 

GEORGE LUDWIGS—Oldest son of H. A. Ludwigs was inducted into the Army last March, and been last heard from was in Al__ta. He has another brother in the Army, Elmer Ludwigs, who is stationed at Fort Story, Va.

BRUNSVILLE: (By Special Correspondent)

Pfc. Elmer Ludwigs arrived home Sunday morning to spent a 10-day furlough with his relatives and friends.  He is stationed at Ft. Story, Va.

Pfc. Elmer Ludwigs and Bill Ludwigs were LeMars callers Wednesday.

Pfc. Elmer Ludwigs, who has been stationed at Fort Story, Va., since his induction into the Army, has now been moved to Camp Howze, Texas. Elmer has been in the Army three years. His brother, George Ludwigs, is stationed in the same camp. They haven’t seen each other for three and a half years. They were to meet Sunday afternoon.

Elmer Albert Ludwigs was born Apr. 28, 1915 to Henry A. and Engel Margaretha Kleihauer Ludwigs. He died May 14, 1988 and is buried in Christ Lutheran Church Cemetery, LeMars, IA.
