Word was received by the John Karsemeyer family at Hull that their son, Henry, (ACRM) is missing.  The message was received from the War Department the 25th of September, and stated that he was missing since September 21st.  It did not name the area in which he was located at the time.

Henry has been in the Navy eight years, having re-enlisted when the war broke out.  He was in an Operational Transport Flack.

Henry J. Karsemeyer Missing Says Navy
He Had Served For Eight Years In The Navy and Was A Member of a Torpedo Sqdn.

Mr. and Mrs. John Karsemeyer of Doon, Iowa, received word the past week that their son, Henry J. (Snook) Karsemeyer was missing while on operational duties somewhere near the West Coast on September 21st.

The family believe that he must have been on some sort of training duties as they had heard from him as late as September 15th, when he was still on the West Coast.

Henry J. Karsemeyer, A.C.R.M., was a member of a Torpedo Squadron with the U. S. Navy.

The many friends are joined by The Index in hoping that the Karsemeyer family may hear good news about their son in the not too distant future.
