PRISONERS OF WAR FROM HENRY COUNTY ARE LISTED

Henry county relatives of men who were prisoners of war in Germany anxiously await word from them. All likely have been freed, information from Germany indicates, but the mail facilities out of the country have broken down temporarily.

A list of the prisoners from the county has been compiled by the News. It may not include all. Corrections and additions should be mailed or telephoned to the News office.

Lt. Glen Hultquist, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hultquist, Swedesburg, reported missing and later reported prisoner of war in Germany.

Glenn Frederick Hultquist was born Apr. 13, 1921 to Frederick L. and Lillian O. Sandeen Hultquist. He died Dec. 9, 2008 and is buried in Swedesburg Cemetery, Swedesburg, IA.

Glenn served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps on a co-pilot on a B-24 bomber. His plane was shot down and he became a POW.
