NEWS of the Boys in the Service.

Leander Frank, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Frank of Remsen, who entered the Navy long before the country got into war, arrived from the eastern seaboard last Sunday morning, to be here until Friday. Leander, on his last trip home five months ago, was a Seaman 1/c, now he is a radio technician, 3/c.

SOLDIER NEWS.

Mr. and Mrs. Mike Frank of Remsen have received a letter from their son, Leander Frank, RT2C, saying he is attending school at Washington DC, and that he expects to be assigned to a ship before long.

Leander Francis Frank was born Sept. 28, 1917 to Michael “Mike” and Emma Klostermann Frank. He died Dec. 23, 1996 and is buried in Westlawn Memorial Cemetery, Grand Island, NE.
