Clair Edward Northup was born July 24, 1920 to Isaac Arthur and Iva Eleanor Parker Northup. He died June 16, 1944 and is buried in Keokuk National Cemetery, Keokuk, IA. He was initially buried in the 2nd Marine Division Cemetery on Saipan and returned to the U.S. in 1948.
Pvt. Northup served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was KIA while participating in combat operations on Saipan.
