John Kenneth Christensen was born Oct. 27, 1921 to John and Olga Rasmussen Christensen. He died May 7, 1942/FOD May 8, 1943 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Christensen served with the U.S. Navy in World War II aboard the USS Sims (DD-409) and was MIA/KIA/FOD when that ship was sunk as a result of enemy action in the Coral Sea.
