Melvin R. Smith was born July 13, 1915 to Johnson B. and Lena E. Hall Smith. He died Nov. 22, 1944 and is buried in Cedar Township Cemetery, Fonda, IA.

Pvt. Smith served in World War II with the U.S. Army 126th Infantry, 32nd Division and was died in the service of his country.

Myron Charles Smith was born Sept. 26, 1912 to Charles and Neva Smith. He died Jan. 10, 1946 and is buried in Cedar Township Cemetery, Fonda, IA. 

Myron served in World War II.

Clarence Clyde Smrkovski was born June 30, 1918 to James A. and Agnes Hronek Smrkovski. He died Dec. 25, 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.

Pvt. Smrkovski served in World War II with the U.S. Army 264th Infantry Regiment, 66th Infantry Division and was KIA in the English Channel. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
