Lawrence Gilbert Pearce was born Apr. 8, 1920 to Carl Arthur and June Hall Pearce. He died July 18, 1944 and is buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Red Oak, IA.

Pvt. Pearce served in World War II with the US. Army 137th Infantry, 35th Division and died in the service of his country.

Harlan Howard Peterson was born Nov. 10, 1920 to Luther C. and Hilda E. Lundberg Peterson. He died Dec. 5, 1942 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and memorialized in Mamrelund Cemetery, Stanton, IA.

Lt. Peterson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and was the pilot of B-25 “Sorry Sachul” which was shot down during the “Ordeal of Tondelayo”. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Silver Star and Purple Heart.

Donald A. Platt was born June 20, 1920 to Grant and Columbia Kedwell Platt. He died Oct. 6, 1944 and is buried in Ardennes American Cemetery, Neupre, Belgium.

Sgt. Platt served in World War II with the U.S. Army 67th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Division and died in the service of his country and was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.
