Mack Rains Whiting was born Mar. 30, 1914 to Clyde N. and Ruth Rains Whiting. He died Nov. 21, 1975 and is buried in Whiting Cemetery, Whiting, IA.

Myrick James “Jim” Whiting, Jr. was born Sept. 28, 1920 to Myrick James (Sr.) and Marjorie June Willits Whiting. He died Dec. 29, 2007 and is buried in Whiting Cemetery, Whiting, IA.

Jim served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps as a navigator in the 614th Squadron, 8th Air Force. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross with clusters.

Richard Willits “Dick” Whiting was born Nov. 30, 1925 to Myrick James and Marjorie June Willits Whiting. He died Feb. 7, 2007.

Dick served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
