Albert Charles Jackson was born Aug. 31, 1919 to Fred and Emma Madsen jackson. He died June 26, 2016 and is buried in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA.

Albert served in World War II with the U.S. Army 36th Amphibious Engineers Division. He served in five battles and campaigns throughout Europe and Africa and earned the American Defense Service Ribbon, European-African-Middle Eastern Theatre Ribbon with one Silver Battle Star and three Bronze Battle Stars, Bronze Service Arrowhead, five Overseas Service Bars, one Service Stripe and the Good Conduct Medal.

Irving Matthew Jessen was born June 15, 1918 to Chris and Celia Jepson Jessen. He died Dec. 16, 2012 and is buried in Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM.

Chief Petty Officer Jessen served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Harry B. Johnson was born Sept. 24, 1919 to Harry and Mary Elizabeth Bird Johnson. He died Dec. 20, 1943 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Cambridge American Cemetery, Cambridge, England.

Flight Officer Johnson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 534th Bomber Squadron, 381st Bomber Group, Heavy and was MIA/KIA aboard a B-17F when it was was lost during enemy action on a bombing mission to Bremen, Germany. He was awarded the Air Medal and Purple Heart.

Harlan Dean Jones was born Jan. 7, 1920 to Hubert D. and Sadie Edith Fuller Jones. He died May 27, 2011 and is buried in Hillside Cemetery, State Center, IA.

Harlan served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Robert LaVerne Jones was born July 13, 1919 to Roy P. and Edna C. Johnson Jones. He died Feb. 9, 1942 and is buried in Riverside Cemetery, Marshalltown, IA. 

Ens. Jones served with the U.S. Navy Air Corps in World War II and was killed in an airplane crash while on active duty undergoing training.
