Scott LeGrande Clarke was born Nov. 23, 1911 to William and Fannie Jane Scott Clarke. He died July 29, 1947 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, IA.

Chief Petty Officer Clarke served in World War II with the U.S. Navy.

Arthur Vern Cleveland was born Dec. 11, 1902 to Owen Gilbert and Bertha Alma Reynolds Cleveland. He died Dec. 15, 1944 and has a cenotaph in Pleasantville Cemetery, Pleasantville, IA. 

Capt. Cleveland served in World War II as a Chaplain with the U.S. Army. He was KIA while being transported aboard a Japanese vessel as a POW and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Bill Connor was born June 10, 1920 to Jack Jr. and Helen Hardwick Connor. He died Oct. 7, 1944 and is buried in Lorraine American Cemetery, Saint Avold, France.

Pvt. Connor served in World War II with the U.S. Army 317th Infantry Regiment, 80th Infantry Division and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Robert C. Conrey was born Jan. 26, 1922 to Harry H. and Lola C. Corlins Conrey. He died Mar. 3, 1945 and is buried in Henri-Chapelle American Cemetery, Hombourg, Belgium. He has a cenotaph in Greenwood Cemetery, Knoxville, IA. 

Pvt. Conrey served in World War II with the U.S. Army 112th Engineer Combat Battalion and was KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Leo Albert Cross was born Dec. 25, 1915 to Delbert “Bert" and Gertie G. Beals Cross. He died July 20, 2000 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery, Knoxville, IA.

Leo served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was awarded the Purple Heart, two Bronze Stars and Infantry Badge. He was WIA in TUnisia and was a POW.

Don Owen Cummings was born May 3, 1920 to George Rodney and Louise Christina Van Loon Cummings. He died Apr. 27, 1986 and is buried in Oak Wood Cemetery, Pella, IA.

Capt. Cummings served in World War II with the U.S. Army Glider Infantry, 17th and 82nd Airborne Divisions.
