Raymond Theodore Ahlers was born Dec. 20, 1906 to William and Rose Haupert Ahlers. He died Feb. 4, 1996 and is buried in Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Granville, IA.

Petty Officer Ahlers served with the U.S. Navy Armed Guards in World War II and was wounded in action.

Edward Earl Augustine was born Dec. 7, 1922 to Albert Earl and Ruth Dwellyn Hull Augustine. He died Jan. 10, 1945/FOD Jan. 11, 1946 and is buried in Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa, IA.

Edward served in World War II with the U.S. Army 314th Infantry, 79th Division, 7th Army and was KIA in France.
