James Otis McIntire was born Jan. 25, 1921 to Harry Otis and Mattie A. Stockman McIntire.He died June 21, 1944 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Eddy Cemetery, Kendalville, IA.

Lt. McIntire served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was MIA while in the service of his country. He was awarded the Purple Heart and Air Medal.

Herbert Jerome Meirick was born Apr. 4, 1915 to Joseph Bernard and Helen Alice Rademacher Meirick. He died Oct. 26, 1942, was buried at sea, and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Meirick served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hornet (CV-8) and was KIA as the result of enemy action in the Battle of the Santa Cruz Islands. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
