Leigh Barth AKA Leighroy Olander was born June 30, 1918 to William Carl and Daisie Mable Bolsinger Olander. He died Dec. 16, 1980 and is buried in Saint Boniface Cemetery, Garner, IA.

Pvt. Barth Olander served in World War II with the U.S. Army 1st Infantry Division and was on Omaha Beach on D-Day and was wounded in action and received the Purple Heart.
