Daniel Rees was born May 18, 1923 to Joseph A. and Lulu Thornton Rees. He died Mar. 14, 2010 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

CMSgt. Rees served with the U.S. Air Force in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.

Herman Herschell Rhoad was born Apr. 28, 1909 to Herschel V. and Mary Rittgers Rhoad. He died Aug. 8, 1951 and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA. 

Lt. Col. Rhoad served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Lawrence Davis Rogers was born Nov. 21, 1913 to Davis and Luella Gidley Rogers. He died Mar. 12, 1945 and is buried in Dodge Center Cemetery, Bagley, IA.

Pvt. Rogers served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps. He was KIA and awarded the Navy Cross for extraordinary heroism and devotion to duty while serving as Leader of a Demolition Squad of the Third Engineer Battalion, Third Marine Division, in action against enemy Japanese forces on Iwo Jima in the Volcano Islands.

Hoyt Frank (Frank) Rutter was born June 20, 1896 to Samuel Schultz and Altha Eunice Chipman Rutter. He died Jan. 7, 1951 and is buried in Jefferson Cemetery, Jefferson, IA.

Frank served in World War II with the U.S. Navy. He also served in World War II as a Horseshoer with the 103rd Battalion MPC.
