Hans Hansen was born Oct. 29, 1921 to Otto Peter and Ingrid “Marie” Evardsen Hansen. He died Sept. 1, 2008 and is buried in East Side Cemetery, Estherville, IA.

Sgt. Hansen served in World War II with the U.S. Army.

Norman Clayton Herbrandson was born June 13, 1916 to Joseph and Caroline Sophia Guge Herbrandson. He died July 28, 1948 and is buried in Estherville Lutheran Cemetery, Estherville, IA. 

Norman served in World War II with the U.S. Army in the Normandy Invasion and many of the French and European campaigns being awarded many ribbons, medals and citations for his efficient service and bravery.
