Arnold A. Rahe was born Oct. 26, 1917 to John B. and Clara R. Willenborg Rahe. He died July 31, 1944 and is buried in Normandy American Cemetery, Colleville-sur-Mer, France.

Sgt. Rahe served in World War II with the U.S. Army 120th Infantry Regiment, 30th Infantry Division and was KIA in France and awarded the Purple Heart.

John E. F. Rahe was born Oct. 13, 1919 to Andrew Francis Swift and Emma Anna Kramer Rahe. He died Jan. 11, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines. and has a cenotaph in Saint Francis Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Pvt. Rahe served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps Headquarters Squadron, 24th Pursuit Group and died of wounds received in action in Takao Harbor, Formosa. He was awarded the Purple Heart. Pvt. Rahe was a POW and survived the bombing of the Enoura Maru and later died of wounds incurred in the bombing.

James Robert Rang was born Nov. 5, 1921 to William and Cleone Utzig Rang. He died Jan. 26, 1944 and is buried in Sicily-Rome American Cemetery and Memorial, Nettuno, Italy.

Cpl. Rang served in World War II with the U.S. Army 133rd Infantry, 34th Infantry Division.

David Arthur Rastatter was born Sept. 15, 1922 to Arthur and Beatrice Thies Rastatter. He died May 25, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Sgt. Rastatter served in World War II with the U.S. Army 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division and was KIA on Mindanao, Philippine Islands and was awarded the Purple Heart.

Leroy J. Reistroffer was born Jan. 24, 1923 to Henry and Anna Reistroffer. He died July 26, 1944 and is buried in Saint Josephs Catholic Cemetery, Bellevue, IA.

Pvt. Reistroffer served in World War II with the U.S. Army 746th Tank Battalion, 9th Division and died in the service of his country.

Melvin Richard Renk was born Nov. 1, 1923 to Henry and Rose Marie Renk. He died July 2, 1944 and is buried in Saint Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Pvt. Renk served in World War II with the U.S. Army 6th Armored Infantry and died in Italy in the service of his country.

Karl Elmer “Pat” Ricketts was born Jan. 1, 1915 to Elmer John and Anna Wilhelmine Louise Gau Ricketts. He was the step-son of James L. O’Connor. He died July 22, 1946 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA. Sgt. Ricketts served with the U.S. Army 1131st Engineer Combat Battalion in World War II.

Walter William Rickman was born Feb. 17, 1904 to William V. and Clara Frances Wagner Rickman. He died Apr. 11, 1945 and is buried in Sorden Cemetery, Webster, IA. Walter served in World War II.

Donald Arthur Riedl was born Mar. 17, 1921 to Christian and Josephine Koetz Riedl. He died Jan 14, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Manila, Philippines and memorialized at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Lt. Riedl served in World War II with the U.S. Naval Air Corps and died in the performance of his duty and in the service of his country. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.

Clarence Thomas Ries was born Sept. 18, 1911 to John A. and Barbara Elena Ries. He died Oct. 17, 1944 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Sgt. Ries served in World War II with the U.S. Army 321st Infantry Regiment, 81st Infantry Division and was KIA on Peleliu Island and awarded the Purple Heart.

George Edward Riley was born Apr. 6, 1922 to William Henry and Lucy F. Riley. He died May 27, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Sgt. Riley served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps Marine Aircraft Group 24 (MAG-24) near Lingayen Gulf where he flew close air support missions in support of 6th and 8th U.S. Armies. He was killed as the result of a plane crash at sea near Big Santa Cruz Island, Mindanao. His body was not recovered.

Clarence W. Roeder was born Dec. 17, 1907 to John and Margaret Winseclenk Roeder. He died Sept. 14, 1945 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines.

Pvt. Roeder served in World War II with the U.S. Army 13rd Field Artillery Battalion, 24th Infantry Division and died in the service of his country in the Philippine Islands.

Sgt. Rowan served in World War II with the U.S. Army 692nd Engineer Shop Battalion and died of accidental drowning on Luzon, Philippine Islands.
