Harlan Joseph Davidshofer was born May 8, 1921 to John C. and Josephine Amelia Jung Davidshofer. He died July 10, 1943 and is buried in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Dubuque, IA and memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy.

Petty Officer Davidshofer served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Maddox (DD-622) which became part of the assault force for the Sicilian invasion and was sunk in that operation. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

George Harris Davis was born May 25, 1920 to George LeRoy and Gladys LeVan Davis. He died Mar. 12, 1943 and is buried in Linwood Cemetery, Dubuque, IA.

Lt. Davis served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and died in in a plane crash near Sheridan, Arkansas while in the service of his country.

John Sylvester Davis was born Dec. 31, 1920 to James Vincent and Rose Anna Krause Davis. He died June 22, 1944 and is buried in Saint Marys Cemetery, Cascade, IA.

Petty Officer Davis served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the SS West Grama and USS Dover (IX-30) and died in England as the result of an auto accident while in the performance of his duty and in the service of his country. He had returned to duty after being wounded in action.
