Donald Edwin Haag was born Sept. 21, 1918 to Edwin J. and Laura K. Eibe Haag. He died Feb. 28, 1942 and is memorialized at the East Coast Memorial, New York, NY and has a cenotaph in Monona Cemetery, Monona, IA.

Petty Officer Haag served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Jacob Jones (DD-130) which was torpedoed and sunk. He was MIA/FOD/KIA and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He died Jan. 6, 1943/FOD Dec. 14, 1945 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and has a cenotaph in Algoma Cemetery South and North, Marshall, TX.

1st Lt. Hakeman served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps, 321st Bomber Squadron, 90th Bomber Group, Heavy and became MIA/KIA/FOD after his plane disappeared while on a search mission from Port Moresby, New Guinea. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
