Duane Letsche was born June 4, 1924 to Gotthilf and Stella Marie Stemmermann Letsche. He died Jan. 29, 1998 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, IA.

Duane served with the U.S. Army in World War II.
