James Elwood Bleakly was born Sept. 6, 1917 to James W. and Margaret J. Coulter Bleakly. He died Aug. 3, 1995 and is buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Cherokee, IA.

James served with the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
