Donald Leroy Cimmers was born Oct. 9, 1922 to Henry Tobias and Clea Etta Hartgraves Cimmers. He died Jan. 27, 1948 and is buried in Dumont Cemetery, Dumont, IA.
Sgt. Cimmers served in World War II with the U.S. Army and died when the transport in which he was flying crashed in the lower Alps.
