Malvin Rudolph Mundt was born July 15, 1907 to Rudolph and Anna Hock Mundt. He died Nov. 27, 1995 and is buried in Saint Pauls Lutheran Cemetery, Waverly, IA. 

Malvin served in World War II with the U.S. Army in the Normandy and Northern France Campaign and was awarded the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, French Croix de Guerre, and the Belgium Badge.
