Charles Kneeland Wells was born July 4, 1920 to Charles H. and Clyte Kneeland Wells. He died Oct. 6, 1991 and is buried in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, IA. 

1st Lt. Wells served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Robert Glen Westberg was born Sept. 3, 1923 to Clarence C. and Lytha Leone Houser Westberg. He died Jan. 22, 2012 and is buried in Iowa Veterans Cemetery, Adel, IA.

Sgt. Westberg served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Marvin Hurst Weyer was born May 13, 1919 to Harvey Edgar and Lucy May Fey Weyer. He died Aug. 23, 1947 and is buried in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, IA.

Petty Officer Weyer served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Schuyler B. Wheeler was born Aug. 11, 1915 to Schuyler and Eva O. Carlson Wheeler. He died Dec. 15, 1944 and is buried in Mackey Cemetery, Boone County, IA.

Sgt. Wheeler served in World War II with the U.S. Army 387th Infantry, 95th Division and was KIA while serving in France at the Battle of the Bulge. He was awarded the Purple Heart, Combat Infantry Badge, American Campaign Medal, European Campaign Medal with Two Battle Stars, Army Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal.

John Kenneth Wickwire was born June 5, 1918 to Aaron and Maude Eva Richardson Wickwire. He died June 7, 1944 and is buried in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, IA.

Petty Officer Wickwire served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Harold William “Billy” Winfield was born in 1922 to Lee and Alice Isabell Starner Winfield. He died Nov. 30, 1942 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Linwood Park Cemetery, Boone, IA.

Petty Officer Winfield served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS New Orleans (CA-32) and was MIA/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Wilbur Corbin Wisecup was born July 9, 1923 to Corbin S. and Emma G. Adams Wisecup. He died Jan. 3, 1945 and is buried in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, Lemay, MO.

Sgt. Wisecup served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps and became MIA on a flight over France. His remains were returned to the U.S. in 1950.

Charles Scott Wolfe was born Aug. 20, 1897 to Samuel K. and Minnie E. Satterlee Wolfe. He died Feb. 3, 1943 and is buried in Pilot Mound Cemetery, Pilot Mound, IA. Charles served in World War II with the U.S. Army 803rd Ordnance Company.
