Frank “Frankie” Caraccio, Jr. was born July 30, 1920 to Frank and Lucia “Lucy” Genovese Caraccio. He died Nov. 22, 1944 and is buried in Epinal American Cemetery and Memorial, Dinoze, France. 

Sgt. Caraccio served with the U.S. Army 411th Infantry Regiment, 1st Battalion, 103rd Infantry Division and was KIA and awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.

Chester Caster was born July 7, 1908 to Abraham Lincoln and Lola Montez Farnsworth Caster. He died Sept, 3, 1944 and is buried in Zachary Taylor National Cemetery, Louisville, KY. He was returned from Neuville-en-Condroz, Belgium in 1950.

Sgt. Caster served in World War II with the U.S. Army and was KIA.

Theodore Roosevelt “Ted” Clauson was born Apr. 20, 1908 to James Mack and Mary Losh Clauson.He died Feb. 10, 1943 and is buried in Dale Cemetery, Centerville, IA.

Cpl. Clauson served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 521st Bomb Squadron and was killed in a highway accident at Victorville, CA.

Arthur G. Cline was born Mar. 7, 1910 to William D. and Hannah Davis Cline. He died Sept. 14, 1947 and is buried in Exline Cemetery, Exline, IA. Sgt. Cline served with the U.S. Army Transportation Corps in World War II.

Cecil Ray Cline was born Apr. 26, 1922 to Lerma and Alpha A. Sumpter Cline. He died Jan. 16, 1993 in FL.

Pvt. Cline served in World War II with the U.S. Army Service Command Unit 3954, 82nd Airborne Division. He jumped on Utah Beach area (Sainte-Mere-Eglise) on D-Day.

Joseph Vincent “Joe” Close was born Sept. 6, 1920 to Harvey Huston and Elizabeth Jane McCarty Close. He died June 8, 2010 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Mystic, IA.

Joe served with the U.S. Coast Guard in World War II.

William Ray Close was born June 2, 1924 to Andrew Jackson and Ella Gedney Close. He died Aug. 3, 1948 and is buried in Highland Cemetery, Mystic, IA. 

Chief Petty Officer Close served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Roy Thomas Cowell, Jr. was born Aug. 13, 1916 to Roy Thomas (Sr.) and Ida Jane Piper Cowell. He died Feb. 19, 1945/FOD Feb. 20, 1946 and is memorialized at the Courts of the Missing, Court 2, Honolulu Memorial, Honolulu, Hawaii and has a cenotaph in Downing City Cemetery, Downing, MO.

Sgt. Cowell served in World War II with the U.S. Marine Corps and was MIA/KIA and awarded the Purple Heart.

Riley Neel Crawford was born Nov. 6, 1917 to Charles W. and Elinor Neel Crawford. He died Dec. 3, 2007 and is buried in Cedar Memorial Park, Cedar Rapids, IA.

Riley served in World War II with the U.S. Army 168th Infantry, 34th Division.
