1st Lt. Spinner served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 460th Bomb Group, 76th Bomb Squadron, 15th Air Force as the pilot of a B-25 Liberator bomber, stationed at an air base in Italy. He was MIA on a flight over Romania.
