Harry Truman Pierce was born Mar. 22, 1922 to Charles T. and Pearl V. Anderson Pierce. He died Nov. 13, 1942 and is buried in Manila American Cemetery and Memorial, Taguig City, Philippines.

Petty Officer Pierce served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Texas (BB-35)and the USS Juneau (CL-52) and was MIA/KIA when the Juneau was torpedoed by the Japanese during the Battle of Guadalcanal. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
