Pvt. Brady served in World War II with the U.S. Army Headquarters Detachment, DEML Station Complement, Camp Phillips, KS.

Paul Arthur Braham was born Oct. 5, 1917 to Henry O. and Christine Basterson Braham. He died Feb. 4, 2011 and is buried in Rudd Evergreen Cemetery, Rudd, IA.

Cap. Braham served in World War II with the U.S. Army 145th Engineer Combat Battalion throughout Europe, participating in the Battle of the Bulge. He received 3 battle stars for the Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe.

Harold Arthur Brandt was born May 15, 1921 to Ray and Malinda Marie Reinhardt Brandt. He died Feb. 4, 2018 and is buried in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Waukon, IA.

MSgt. Brandt served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps in the Pacific Theater as a Wire Chief. He served in the Philippines where he would communicate with the crews of returning damaged aircraft while they were still airborne, coordinating their repair plans. He was also among the first wave of Allied service personnel to witness the devastation in Hiroshima.

He was a gunner and squad leader in a mortar section, a veteran of the Tunisian and Italian campaigns from the original landing at Algiers through the breaking of the Gothic line. He was awarded four battle stars on his European theater ribbon and combat infantry badge. He was also awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received at Anzio and wears the unit badge as a member of the 1st Battalion.

Harold Chester Brown, Jr. was born Dec. 9, 1923 to Chester C. (Sr.) and Grace Wakefield Brown. He died May 22, 1990 In CA.

Harold served in World War II with the U.S. Navy aboard the USS President Jackson (APA-18) which landed Marines on the Solomon Islands in 1942 during the first offensive amphibious expedition of the war. His ship was one of a group known as “The Unholy Four”.
