Earl Franklin Saucer was born Feb. 16, 1919 to George and Anna Louise Lemke Saucer. He died Dec. 23 1943 and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Oregon, MO.

2nd Lt. Saucer served in World War II with the U.S. Army Air Corps 748th Bomb Squadron, 457th Bomb Group as a bombardier on B-17G Flying Fortress #42-31541 and died when it collided in mid-air with B-17 #42-38065 near Wendover Field, UT.

Lyle Warren Shahan was born Oct. 15, 1923 to Warren O. and Mayme E. Welker Shahan. He died Sept. 20, 2007 and is buried in Maple Hills Cemetery, Kirksville, MO.

Lyle served with the U.S. Army in World War II.

Melvin Grant Shahan was born Mar. 15, 1926 to Warren O. and Mayme E. Welker Shahan. He died Apr. 1, 2015 and is buried in Sunnyside Memory Gardens, Charles City, IA.

Melvin served with the U.S. Navy in World War II.

Wayne Skinner was born Dec. 27, 1919 to John R. and Dora Ethel Murphy Skinner. He was MIA Oct. 9, 1943/FOD Oct. 10. 1944 and is memorialized at the Tablets of the Missing, Sicily-Rome American Cemetery, Nettuno, Italy. 

Wayne served with the U.S. Navy and was MIA/KIA when the USS Buck (DD-420) was torpedoed and sunk in the Tyrrhenian Sea. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

William Smart was born Apr. 22, 1914 to John and Maude Speed Smart. He died Aug. 9, 1924 and is memorialized at the Walls of the Missing, Manila American Cemetery, Taguig City, Philippines and in Orient Cemetery, Orient, IA.

Petty Officer Smart served in World War II with the U.S. Navy and was KIA during the battle of Savo Island. His body was never recovered. He was awarded the Purple Heart.
