LUTHER COLLEGE COMMENCEMENT.
Another Worthy Class goes out from the Honored Institution.
|
Yesterday saw the closing exercises of the school year of 1892-3 at Luther College. Although the day was not in the least a propitious one, the usual large audience was in attendance at the hour appointed for the exercises to begin, and it listened throughout with close attention to one of the best programs that has been given on commencement day at that institution. The class motto was “Finis coronat opus."

Benediction,
|
Our reporter was not present but we have heard many nice things said in regard to the “Class Motto” by C. B. Johnson, the essay by M. C. Waller, and especially of the valedictory by Oscar L. Olson. From some of these young men much is expected if the promise of their college years is rounded out in mature life. There was a large attendance of the College alumni. The class of ’93 last evening held a reception which was largely attended by their friends.
