I am looking for information on a family that owned a children's clothing store in Cresco, IA Howard County in the 1960's. I have information that the name was Van House or Van Auken. Thinking maybe someone in your county remembers the store. (Maybe called "Kutee Shop"?) Does anyone know about this family in Cresco, IA Howard County or vicinity? Would especially like information like presently living?, where? How I could get in touch with them? Would really like to know if there was a brother (name? think he was a bachelor in early 1960's)) who moved to the southwestern United States. This would help me know whether or not it is the same family in question. In the 1960's, this man thought he was my father's father, so any information would be appreciated. Actually any help finding this family and putting me in touch with them is appreciated. Just starting to learn this genealogy research so I need all the help I can get. Thanks again. RENEE

COLLINS I have been searching for the death date and burial place for Marshall Collins. He lived in Bluffton. He was found on the 1860,1870,1880 census with his wife, Eliza and several children. Eliza is buried at a cemetery in Bluffton but Marshall is not found in their records. She died in 1881. Their oldest son, Eleazer, married in 1858 in Winneshiek Co. and had a son, Howard, who died in that area in 1864 but I do not know where he is buried. Eleazer moved to Oregon in the 1870's. He had three other sons born in Bluffton. Frank was born in 1858, Fred in 1860 moved to Oregon, Thomas in 1867 moved to Oregon. Marshall and Eliza's other children were William, Albert, Rachel, George, John Perry and Frederick. I would like to get information on what happened to the people in this family that stayed in Iowa. I have much info on the family that came to Oregon that I will share with anyone connecting to this family.
