Their children were: Raymond born 20 Nov 1918 married Dolores Timp. They farmed on the same farm his grandfather Wenceslaus bought northeast of Spillville. They had eight children: Carol, Juanita, Keith, Donna, Allan, Chrisanne, Lolita and Sandra. Wilma married Rudy Gerleman and had two sons: Roger and Clark. Mildred married Edward Silhacek 27 Sep 1943. They farmed east of Spillville, Calmar Twp, Section 20 and had five children: Edward, James, Jane, Kathy, Dan and Bob. Viola married Frank Meyer and had three children: Vernon, Joan and Gerald. Christine married Flerb Rausch and had two children: John M. and Mary Jane. Marcella married Ted Schmitt and had three children: Harvey, Joyce and Karen. Robert married Laura Rausch 27 Nov 1948. They farmed in Calmar Twp and had six children: Linus, Tom, Steve, Mike, Kevin and Lori.

Allan Albert Kuboushek is the son of Raymond and Dolores (Timp) Kuboushek. Allan married Judy Svendsen 26 Feb 1972. Judith Ellen grew up south of Ossian, IA, the daughter of Norman and Ramona Svendsen.

Allan and Judy live on a farm five miles northeast of Spillville, IA, where Allan's grandfather lived and raised his family. Allan works at Camcar Textron and Judy works at H & R Block - both in Decorah. Allan has six sisters: Carol Magel, Juanita Adams, Donna Mracek, Chris Anne Alber, Lolita Adams and Sandra Olbander and one brother, Keith. Judith had four sisters: Dirinda Bensing, Ann Dowell (deceased), Janell Davis and Connie Rosendahl and one brother, Norman Jr. (deceased).

Allan and Judy have four children (two sons and two daughters): Sara Ann married Craig W. Neuzil 27 May 1995. They both graduated from South Winneshiek High School and received degrees from Iowa State University. They are making their home in North Charleston, SC where Craig is a second lieutenant at Charleston Air Force Base and Sara is working in the landscape department of a corporation in Charleston. Jacob Ray graduated from South Winneshiek High School. He is living in Calmar, IA and is working as a floor auditor at Camcar. Erin Marie  graduated from South Winneshiek High School. She is presently taking classes at Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar and is still deciding what area she would like to major in. Erin works at the Ossian Senior Hospice as a nurses’ aide. Lucas Allan is presently a junior at South Winneshiek High School. He helps on his parent's dairy farm and enjoys playing basketball.

Kuboushek, Raymond and Dolores (Timp)

Raymond Kuboushek was born 20 Nov 1918, the son of Albert and Christina (Luzum) Kuboushek. Raymond was a farmer. He farmed with his parents at first. The farm was located in Winneshiek Co, Calmar Twp, Section 8. On 6 Jul 1942, when Raymond was 23 years old, he entered the United States Army and after basic training he received 12 weeks of Armed Force Radio Operator schooling at Ft. Knox, KY In the fall of 1944, Kuboushek was sent to the European Theater of Operations as Platoon Staff Sergeant. He served in France, Germany and Czechoslovakia until the end of the war. Kuboushek was in the Army of Occupation until 30 Apr 1946 when he was honorably discharged at Camp McCoy, Wl as Staff Sergeant. Upon returning from the Army, Raymond bought a farm from his uncle Louis Kuboushek, the same farm his grandfather had bought in the early 1900’s located in Calmar Twp, Section 9.

On 13 May 1947, Raymond married Dolores Timp at St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Calmar, IA. Dolores was the daughter of Theodore and Ida (Holthaus) Timp. Dolores’ ancestors came from West Germany about 1850. They were German Catholic and were engaged in farming. Dolores worked during the winter months as a cook and caterer on the Chicago north side. She also was a USO hostess and Red Cross worker in the Chicago area. Dolores spent summer months helping her parents on the farm. She now lives with her son, Keith and enjoys working on genealogy.

Raymond and Dolores farmed all their married life. They belonged to the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Spillville, IA. Raymond was active in the American Legion and Dolores was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Ray died 13 Jun 1992 and is buried in the St. Wenceslaus Cemetery.

They became the parents of 8 children: Carol graduated from nursing school in 1967. On 26 Aug 1972, she married Wade Magel and they now live in Pella, IA where Wade is employed at the hospital as a Nurse Anesthetist. They have 2 children, Alison and Nathan. Juanita graduated from nursing school in 1970. She married William A. Adams 24 Oct 1981 and they live in Calmar. They have two children: Benjamin William and Samantha Rae. Keith graduated from NITI in Calmar in 1971. After two years of employment with Rochester Silo, he returned to work the family farm. Keith now owns the family farm and also works at Camcar in Decorah. Donna
