Ted and Clara moved to Rapid City and to Chicago when the children were grown. George worked for the Pullman Company. Ted and Clara were divorced in 1935. Clara worked for Blums doing sewing. She moved back to Rapid City and joined Harold in running tourist cabins. Clara lived longer than Harold.

Ted married Minnie Kammerer 13 Jun 1935 at Dutton, MT They worked for Stork Printing Company in Butte, MT from 1935 to Oct 1938. Oct 1938 they bought Arts and Crafts Book Manufacturing Company in Spokane, WA and operated the plant until Ted's death. Minnie rented it out and then sold it. Minnie is now over 100 years old and living in Spokane.

Hans Aschim was born in Brandbu, Norway 7 Nov 1886. He was the son of Anders and Karin Aschim. Anders was born in Norway in 1845. Karin was born in 1847, also in Norway. Anders and Karin were married in 1870. They became the parents of 8 children: Torger, Karl, Kari, Peter, Mikael, Andrea, Hans and Peder. Andrea was one of the first missionaries to go to China from Norway. Because the economy in Norway was weak, Hans and 4 of his brothers eventually came to America. Hans’ father died in 1913. In 1914, when Hans was 16, he came to America. He temporarily stayed with his relatives, the Egge’s, in Sioux Falls, SD. Hans later became acquainted with the Helmey family. The Helmey's 9 year old son, Thomas, taught Hans English. Thomas later became an attorney in Minneapolis. Hans worked for the railroad in South Dakota for a while. Hans met his future wife, Marie Nelson, at a young people’s society meeting (Luther League). Marie was born 10 May 1886 in Glenwood Twp., Winneshiek Co. They were married 25 Nov 1908 in Sioux Falls, SD. Marie was the daughter of Ben and Anna

Nelson. Ben was born in 1853 in Norway and died in 1918. Anna Lien Ramsey Nelson was born in 1850 and died in 1870. She died giving birth to her daughter Anna. This left Marie and Anna without a mother. Ben later married Olina Ramsey. They became the parents of 7 girls: Elise, Selina, Minerva, Hilda, Minnie, Odelia and Nina. Ben Nelson was a well driller in Winneshiek Co. and was highly respected in the community.

Hans and Marie moved to Decorah in 1908. They farmed in Glenwood Twp. on Marie's grandfather's farm. They became the parents of 10 children - 5 boys and 5 girls: Albert, Anna, Henry, Thelma, Palma, Lester, Harold, Lucille, Karl and Agnes.

Albert (b. 15 Oct 1909; deceased) retired farmer, married Gladys Nortvedt (deceased), retired secretary. They were the parents of 2 girls: Elaine and Shirley. Elaine

Anna (b. 15 Jan 1911) married Hildor Olson, retired farmer. They have 2 children: Curtis and Carol. .
