THE STORE AT GUS DESTROYED BY FIRE

Saturday night the store at Gus, which has been conducted by Claude Plowman, was destroyed by fire. This is the second fire the business has suffered, the first fire being on the west side of the road, when the Gus Merc. Co. owned the business. The fire at that time left the building on the east side of the road, which was rented by Claude Plowman, who has since been continuing to do a mercantile business, and quite successful in the enterprise Mr Plowman sustained some loss, not being fully covered with insurance. The origin of the fire we are informed was unknown.
