1. Call to Order

The Chair, Cheryl Siebrass, called the meeting to order on January 31, 2017 on the Friends-l IAGenWeb list.

Board members present were: Cheryl Siebrass – President; Lynn McCleary – Vice President: Janelle Graham Martin – Secretary; Mark Christian – Treasurer

Directors present were: Karen DeGroot, Bill Haloupek, Conni McDaniel-Hall, Steve Williams, Ralph Leonard, Linda Ziemann, Constance Diamond, Barbara Hug, Sharyl Ferrall, Gail Kilgore and Paul Nagy.

All members of the Board and Directors were present. There were seven guest requests added to the e-mail meeting.

2. Secretary’s Report

The Secretary, Janelle Martin, presented the report:

With no additions or corrections, the minutes were approved.

3. Treasurer’s Report

Financial Reports as of December 31, 2016 can be found at:

For the calendar year 2016 income (donations) increased by $250.00 over

2015 while expenses (server, fees) decreased $122.84. The year-end assets of $15,215.68 were an increase of $623.75 over the previous year.

As of January 31, 2017 our assets are $15,194.23.

We remain within the current 2016/2017 authorized budget of $65.95 per month server cost. None of the authorized total additional expense of $60.00 has been used.

IRS Form 990-N for 2016 has been E-filed.

We continue to carry a zero Liabilities balance.

The Treasurer’s Report was approved as submitted.

4. New Business

A waiver was passed by the board to introduce a new item to the agenda.

The GPP domain names expire on May 3, 2017. The domains are iowagravestones.org and iowagravestones.com. The .com domain currently points to the .org domain. With the concurrence of Rich Lowe and Mark Christian, only the .org domain will be renewed, allowing the .com domain to expire on May 3rd.

The renewal will cost $90.85 for five years.

Mark Christian moved to approve funding of the renewal of the domain name iowagravestones.org for a period of five years at a total cost not to exceed $100 dollars.

The motion was seconded by Lynn McCleary and passed unanimously by the board.

5. Closing Comments and Adjournment

Several board members and guests expressed compliments and appreciation for the impact that Friends of IAGenWeb contributes to IAGenWeb.

With no further business, President Cheryl Siebrass declared the meeting adjourned on February 10, 2017.
