HULSTEIN, WILLIAM FAMILY

William the son of Gerrit and Cornelia was born Oct. 5, 1897. He married Anne Schuiteman on Feb. 27, 1921. Anne had been born on Oct. 7, 1895. She was the daughter of Gerrit and Hattie Schuiteman.

William, who had been born on the farm of his parents, purchased the farm in 1935 following his father's death. There they raised and fattened cattle and pigs, which is still the main enterprises of the farm.
William and Anne had 5 children: Gerrit (Aug. 27, 1923), presently resides in Texas and has 6 children. Harriet born March 27, 1927 married Elrich Vermeer. They have 4 children, Kenneth Warren born March 21, 1930 married Eunice Mae Schutt. They have 4 children, Alverna Joyce born May 16, 1937 married Paul Van Engelenhoven of Orange City. They have 2 daughters. And Wilma Evonne born Oct. 7, 1939 married Carl Vermeer. They live in Alexandria, Minn. They have 2 daughters.

William G. Hulstein Family: Alverna, Ken, Gerrit, Harriet, Wm. G.,Wilma, Anna

William farmed until having a heart attack in 1955, at which time His son Ken took over the farm. William passed away on May 31, 1973 and Anne on May 20, 1986.
