Jacobson Cemetery

Small old cemetery in Fairview Twp, Sec. 26 (T78, R39)

Floral Divider Bar

This is on land presently owned by Merlene Rold and was taken care of by Howard Scott as sort of a private, youth project in the past. He planted native cedar trees around and kept it cleared off. It is enclosed by old barbed wire that has now grown through some of the old oak trees there. Russell Rold placed an old cemetery stone with the word "Father" there just to indicate that it is a cemetery. Mr. Scott placed large, native stones where old wooden markers had once been and there are indications of 2 or 3 sunken graves.

Buried there were:

Mrs. Hector (once lived on present Everett Carroll farm)

Mrs. Peter Rold (1st wife)

3 children of Soren Rold--2 boys and 1 girl

By Mrs. Gaillard Heflin; August 7, 1976
