Redding Alumni Reunion

The annual Redding Alumni reunion was held July 3, 2005 at the Redding Methodist Church. Lunch was served to over 50 people by the church women.

The Saturday night meeting at the Frontier Hall was attended by 45 people with a potluck supper.

Jerry STERNER called the meeting to order on Sunday at 1 p.m. John ADAIR gave the minutes of the 2004 meeting and the treasurer's report. Keith WALKER gave a report of the deceased alumni.

A motion was made to give a donation of $100 to the church and to the Frontier Hall. Bessie PARKER read letters from absent members concerning health and deceased members. Marilyn GRIFFITH WHITENACK was nominated for president and Karen STEVENS KEMERY for vice-president for next year.

Mary OLIVER EIGHMY was the oldest class member, 1913. Ed COMBS was the youngest class member, 1958.

Fifty-year class members attending were Marilyn WHITENACK, Rowena LAMBERT MILLER, Mary QUICK OVERHOLSTER and Bill AUSTIN.

The meeting closed with stories of bygone days by Gifford KNAPP.
