Shannon City sets alumni banquet

The 95th annual Shannon City Alumni Banquet will be held Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Eagles Club in Creston.

Registration and reminiscing starts at 3 p.m. with the meal being served at 5 p.m. The earlier time will give guests time to visit before eating, according to Ann COMER SANSON, one of the alumni committee members.

The 50th year graduates will be honored, and they include Gary OVERHOLSER, Richard RUCKMAN and Francis SWARTZ. There will be a "freewill donation" taken to cover expenses and cemetery maintenance fund.

Reservations need to be made by Tuesday, May 23, by calling Bonnie ERGENBRIGHT BAKER (Creston) or Linda FOY JAMES (Creston).

The committee asks the alumni members to pass the word on to their classmates, family and friends if they haven't received notification, according to SANSON. The committee ssks that when calling in reservations, please give name and guest name(s), plus the year graduated or attended Shannon City.
