Expansion of the Wood-Link Ltd. plant in Mount Ayr has been announced this week by Link Nylen, president of the firm. Work is underway on a 5,000 square foot expansion for the 15,000 [sq. foot] building here which houses
the firm which builds quality cedar bird houses, bird feeders and planters.

For the third year in a row, the Mount Ayr Community Raider marching band received a division I rating in the Class 2A state marching band competitioin held this year at Lewis Central High School in Council Bluffs.

For the second straight year the Mount Ayr Community Raider football team has reached the Class 1A football playoffs.
