The first annual bowling tournament was completed Sunday at Mount Ayr's Lucky Lanes with what tournament secretary Jane Thomas termed a wonderful turnout.

Approximatedly $35 in cash and 20 six-packs of beer were taken Thursday night during a break-in at the Diagonal Snooker-Parlor, operated by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bata.

Announcement was made this week of the resignation of Joe Morgan as boys' basketball coach at Mount Ayr Community high school.

Billy Mercer was elected president of the Creston Airport Association during its annual meeting held Monday night. Mr. Mercer is a brother of Ed Mercer, of Mount Ayr, and Mrs. Mercer is the former Norma Rice, daughter of the Howard Rices, of Kellerton.
